Gilt dial 5512 or 5513 with golden hands?

I love gilt dials and golden hands on a watch.

I have a 5512 watch ready to be modded.

So the question is, did a 5512 or 5513 gilt dialed Rolex ever came with golden hands?

I can't remember seeing a lot of gilt dial 5512/5513 with golden hands.

If you search the VRF dial archives you won't find a lot of them.

Which dial do you have?

Moreover....since there isn't much standard with those 5512/5513 why not use golden hands if you like them?

I'm in the lucky position not having a dial yet. Thats why I'm asking, I want to build something that did exist some time. It is very hard to see from pictures if hands are just aged and look gold or where supposed to be gold.

This will be a nice project, gilt and gold look GREAT together. Heck, keep the seconds hand silver for a real retro look.

Try Kirk Rich for a gilt dial. And don't use sparkly new gold hands. Try painting them with a q-tip and foamy espresso crema once mounted on the watch. Great effect!

Could anyone explain me the difference between a minute track and chapter ring dial?

After some research on VRF it is still not 100% clear that there where at one time 5512 or 5513 with factory gilt hands. Some have what look like gilt hands but could well be corrosion/altering making this effect.
