Watchmeister Posted August 20, 2011 Report Posted August 20, 2011 Congrats on a stunning uber-franken. I would be prouder of that piece than any gen.
mrboombasteke Posted August 20, 2011 Report Posted August 20, 2011 FrankenGen...LOL! Very very impressive! Where's the obligatory wrist-shot?
Original Scope Posted August 20, 2011 Report Posted August 20, 2011 Wow,Those are great watches!I am proud to own his baby brother.
HauteHippie Posted August 20, 2011 Report Posted August 20, 2011 Wow, amazing. I didn't know franken 64s of this caliber existed! Oh, and nice strap too! Love it.
100 Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Beautiful. Easily one of the best built in the Panerai world.
SERGEANT_AT_ARMS Posted August 21, 2011 Author Report Posted August 21, 2011 Thanks for the kind words guys I am very proud of her! Original Scope, loving the COMEX and DRSD! The 064 build you have is very convinsing when laid side by side or on the wrist. It isn't until you pick them both up and study carefully that you see the difference, most notably on the underside of the watch where the gen has a slight rise or base for the caseback.
MSK1974 Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Magnificent watches Sgt. wear all of those well and if you ever think about letting one of those bombs go, you know where.
coolfire Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Oh my.... This is simply amazing, and I bet the satisfaction of building and finally, wearing this beauty is absolutely better than owning the gen itself!
Andry88 Posted May 11, 2021 Report Posted May 11, 2021 Hi SGT, i know that this is a very old post. But, can u recall if the original hfac xtal on the 064 has and exterior lips on them? My watchmaker accidentally shattered it to pieces, and im trying to look for the original xtal or to make a custom one. The thing about custom, they are unable to make the ones with the exterior lips. Thanks! Appreciated! Sent from my SM-N985F using Tapatalk
jenjoh Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 What is the cost on putting together a Frankenstein of different gen parts compared to actually buying a gen of same? Is there a benefit?
