slask111 Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 I'm about to get the new TAG Aquaracer chrono that's supposed to have Swizz standard AR. Now I hear it's just single AR on the crystal. What's the deal with this new hype "Swizz AR"? Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II using Tapatalk
Ronin Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Same marketing hype as-- calling certain personal electronic devices "Magical" To be fair, REP AR has come a long way. Nothing beats Chief's. The single AR as you describe is most likely a similar process to the Swiss, but without double AR it will have an overly blue hue. In my opinion.
slask111 Posted September 2, 2011 Author Report Posted September 2, 2011 Hm ok. Im an AR junkie. I dont care if the rep is non perfect in replication, just as long as it has a deep, clear double AR. Its almost like pr0n A good AR makes the watch so sexy. So "Swizz AR standards" dosent mean what i described above. Does it mean "same" AR as the gen then? I just dont get it. Hype or any truth behind it?
permabull Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 Some of them even claim to be getting the AR done by the same factory as Swiss brands. Sounds like good old marketing hype to me.
