Steve52
I've been wearing my new Slevin 3719 since it arrived a week ago. I love it! My UPO Chrono has a meeting with The Zigmeister in six weeks for a checkup and some lume, then I'm thinking of having some modds done on this baby. I've read that the date wheel is a must, but I'm not sure about what else to do to it. I was thinking AR, but I hear Chief is not doing it anymore and the AR on it now seems pretty darn good (not Chief's, but okay for me). Any other suggestions? BTW, where can I get a gen date wheel? Thanks! I'll post pics when it's finished. Steve
Texski
Steve, I source IWC parts, and am CONUS. I must apologize, I have not spent much time on the 3719, I have been buried in 3714, 3717, and upcoming 3789 and BP's. But am having more and more request for this and need to get up to speed. What movement do you have in this, Asian or Swiss? From what I am seeing, the date wheel is not the standard ETA, but very close. Chances are good I could get one, let me know. Jkay
Since you already are a Zig customer, you can have him lume the dive bezel for you. He does that.
spooky driver
A few members have added a eta Non-English day wheel as a mod, which i think is high up on the want to do list
Steve52
I didn't consider the non-English date wheel. Probably German. I'll look into that. Anyone know what language it's supposed to be?
ubiquitous
Steve, The daywheel language type is kind of personal pref to what you want; since it's a regional thing, it can technically be anything you want it to be (pending availability, etc). Personally, I went with a German daywheel on my 3717 since the Fliegeruhr is a German style pilots watch: For my 3719... I'll probably stick with Anglais... ubiquitous
Have to say, chief AR is definitely a must-do on these...
mastrmindalliance
You could bead blast the clasp as per the gen. i wouldnt bother with luming the bezel. on the gen it's suuuuuuper flat and perfectly white (like paint), and barely glows at all. Even the hands and dial are pretty weak. Also bare in mind if you do AR the Xtal that the gen has a profound blue tint.
