Great looking piece! Which dealer did you get it from?

I've recently got my pam111 with the same rubber strap. "vanilla" is indeed a good word to describe the scent. I didn't boil it as I found that to be too extreme. What I did do was to put the strap under running hot water for awhile before wrapping it in newspaper overnight. The next morning the scent wasn't as strong as the first day I received the watch and I began to start wearing it.

Have been wearing it for almost a week now and the smell has subsided.

Hope that helps!

Thanks guys !! And thanks for the tips...

I also agree boil rubber is a bit harsh so I think I'll try the baking soda first if it doesn't work I'll boil that sucker with a lil butter and garlic lmao

The lume is amazing .... And it last a long time in the dark ... I knew when it was 3am last night in a dark NYC bar... lmao

The vanilla smell went away after a few months on mine.

But the best way to get rid of that smell is to take It off and put on a nice think leather strap. :D..really

Congratulations...beautiful 005. :)

I've had no free time lately I haven't done anything to the strap yet so it still smells like a stripper .....

Here's a lume pic... it was taken after 10 sec. under a reg. light bulb ...
