Physher007 Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 So, first date. We have a citywide art fair here, so we are walking around outside for a few hours. Should be right around 70° F and sunny.... so im probably going to wear some casual jeans and brown boots. Any thoughts? I've been thinking about picking up a plaid vest but I can't find one (fall not suit). Definitely going casual, kinda eddie bauer I guess.... Pics help, anyone know where I can get a plaid vest?
Watchmeister Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 How old are you and what is she expecting you to be? Pretty impressive you have lined up a free date.
subbiesrock Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 Pretty impressive you have lined up a free date. Oh, snap! Wear something comfortable, if she's into you it doesn't matter
maxman Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 I cant tell you what to wear...but I can suggest this...dont leave home without It.
Physher007 Posted October 6, 2011 Author Report Posted October 6, 2011 I've got my eye on a 253, so I don't need to be dropping a bunch of money and some gal I hardly know I am 28 and I basically know what I am going to wear, just making conversation. Curious if anyone picked up some style cues they will be rocking this fall... max - we are meeting at 9am, so it might be a bit optimistic, but I'll bring protection just in case: good looking out lol
Ronin Posted October 6, 2011 Report Posted October 6, 2011 GQ/Esquire/WSJ would probably tell you to go small (normal 40mm or smaller), and/or vintage. Your grandfathers watch is trendy these days and a good conversation piece. Blue face watches also got a page dedicated to them in the last GQ.
Physher007 Posted October 7, 2011 Author Report Posted October 7, 2011 I saw that, not a huge fab though. Certainly the small gold case on brown leather is in. Im thinking vintage rolex
Physher007 Posted October 7, 2011 Author Report Posted October 7, 2011 ...well that and my grandfather never gave me anything but his genetics
asf Posted October 7, 2011 Report Posted October 7, 2011 Small watches are definitely the go to piece now. No need to be flashy. Like i recently wore my Tudor sub on a date, yet at the bar picked up on a cougar with the panerai. Told her my eyesight sucks (I'm 26 haha)
