The trouble is due to the extremely high-tech nature of "liquid metal" ... it's only made in one factory by one company, I believe.

I dont know if the bezel could be made in it's proper form without this technology.

You could certainly make the watch and use a normal bezel on it ... but that would never survive inspection by anyone.

i've always wondered, since we can buy the gen bezel insert for the PO, doesn't it also mean we can buy the gen LM PO insert and transplant onto a normal PO?

I see it for sale for about $6k. Wow. A $6k cal. 2500 co-axial escapement. Seems ridiculous.

The liquid metal bezel thing is seriously cool though. Seems like rep makers could achieve the same look far more easily and on the cheap. . . .

It really is one watch right now that I would consider the gen.

Omega boutique is about an hour from me-too bad they don't give any discounts.

I have to admit that the LM are over priced atm...although a beautiful watch to be sure.

I would wait for a used one to pop up...but that will probably be over priced as well.

They do look great. Personally, I'd like to see them drop the date on the non-chronograph from 3 to 6 position too. That is oh so much more "user friendly".

Exactly..I started a thread stating just that...the date at the 6 Is a much better location for the rep dw. :)
