Convert date movement to no-date?

I remember reading something awhile ago where there's a mod you can make to an ETA movement to remove the 2nd "click" when you pull the stem, so a modded "date" movement will behave like a "no date" movement at the crown.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Most of the ETAs that we use come with 2 bumps on the detent spring/set bridge, each of which provide a 'stop' for each of the 2 stem positions. You need to grind off 1 of the bumps, which leaves only the 1 'stop' on the stem (for time-setting). I did this with my Phase 1 '42. Alternately, with some ETAs, you have the option of different detent springs, 1 having only 1 bump (for setting time) & the other having 2 bumps (for time & date settings). There are a few threads detailing this, but I cannot find them via the search. If I come across 1 of them, I will update this with a link.

Thanks Freddy! I'll just send my watch to you and let you do it. I mean... who better to de-detent my click spring?!! :tu:

Alternatively, I've been on the lookout for a correct Tudor no-date movement. There's a tasty little ETA 2483 on the 'Bay right now, living inside a pretty little Tudor. That would correspond to a 7016, which is my target.

Alternate suggestions?
