Mills Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 After reading lots of posts about Radiomir screws dropping out, I finally lost a case screw from my 288. I noticed on Panatime that they have this http://www.panatime.com/setof2scforr.html . Would that work OK?
PeteM Posted October 19, 2011 Report Posted October 19, 2011 Yes mate, I replaced mine with Panatime set
Mills Posted October 27, 2011 Author Report Posted October 27, 2011 Thanks for the advice Pete. Ordered from Panatime and arrived today. Damn quick service. The $20 shipping charge was way too annoying for just a couple of screws and bars so I had to pad the envelope out with a new strap ;-)

Could you please confirm if both the lugs and the lug screws from Panatime are a perfect fit on the 288k or not. Thanks
Mills Posted October 27, 2011 Author Report Posted October 27, 2011 I'll find out tomorrow as I'm away from home. Pete did the same and they fitted great, I hope I get the same result.
PowerShot Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 do people know if they work for 292k also? I'm missing one screw
Mills Posted October 27, 2011 Author Report Posted October 27, 2011 Same thing happened to me with just the one damn screw missing. What I've read about the 292 though, sounds like that is your first of four to go as the rep screws simply don't stay in.
Watchiwant Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 I had the same issue with the 288K. Got the screws from Robert at Panatime and they fit and work like a charm. Hats off to Robert/Panatime for excellent customer service and reasonable prices.
Mills Posted October 28, 2011 Author Report Posted October 28, 2011 do people know if they work for 292k also? I'm missing one screw If you PM me your address, I'll pop a spare screw over to you. It will be the rep ones I'm taking out but should see you through. BTW if you want to buy the panatime screw set which will work on your 292, go here http://panatime.com/scallsc.html , down in the bottom right for just the screws or the bars as well.

Mills Posted October 28, 2011 Author Report Posted October 28, 2011 Quick update on this. I got home and installed the bars. They are a right bugger to get installed but now my watch is nice and solid again. The Panatime strap I ordered at the same time was quickly installed onto my 005 and I'm impressed with the workmanship. Panatime worked out great for me. 1
PowerShot Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 Mills glad to hear everything worked fine for you ! And more then a big thanks for the great gesture you offering to me ! I'll send you a pm if I'm not to late. Best regards, PS
PowerShot Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 Hey there ! Just a little message to let all the people know that if I can now start enjoying my 292K again, it's thanks to Mr. Mills ! The screws well arrived and now the 292k is back on the wrist ! And remember to always check your screws or secure them with thread lock Best regards, PS
watch.aholic Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 ^^^ The screw must be in steel that you put on your 292? Did you blacken it by any chance? If yes, can you tell us how?
Mills Posted November 12, 2011 Author Report Posted November 12, 2011 pleased to hear you got them installed mate. Great watch, good luck with the screw situation.
PowerShot Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 @watch.aholic yes the screws are steel and I didn't try to blacken them As I'm the only one to see the back it's not really bothering me. @Mills As already said thanks a million for your gesture, I'm enjoying it every day since I received the screws :-)
MAHLER Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 The possible solutions are... DLC coating or Metal Paint Kit
cromodora Posted November 17, 2011 Report Posted November 17, 2011 To me it happened for second time, but now I am missing a part of lug as well. Does anyone have an idea where can I get one? First time I got a replacement from replicamake but this time no response from them.
dante Posted November 24, 2011 Report Posted November 24, 2011 I have order olso the screws from panatime but thay don't fit my 288K they look to big? What can I do? Thanks
