japanic
I have planning a 1680 or a 5513 build for some time now and I'd like to know when did Rolex switch clasps from the standard to the flip-lock? Also would a non-folded link bracelet be appropriate for this build? I'd like to get a time frame of what was implemented when.
alligoat
The first fliplock bracelet- the 9315 came out in the early 70s. The 93150 came out in 1976- clasp code VA. Prior to the 70s, a 7206 would be a correct option or a jubilee possibly. 5513s ran from the early 60s til around 1989- SN Lxxx, xxx. 1680s ran from around 1969 til 1980. But lots of earlier watches have been fitted with later bracelets, typically the 93150
freddy333
I could be wrong, but I think Rolex began fitting 9315s to Subs around the time 'Sgt. Pepper' came out (1967).
plymman
Not sure it's correct but IMO a rivet bracelet will look fantastic on a 5513 build.
