Hey guys,

I'm new into the Rolex rep world and was wondering where can I get the best McQueen explorer? Who makes the best dial (yuki,etc) and case? Thanks for your help everyone as I want to start this project.

A sense of budget will help give folks give you constructive suggestions. You can go from stock to DW to Yuki to Phong and the pricing changes accordingly.

The best case IMO is phong from jewelry and watch, then buy the ETA version from josh to use the dial, movement, and bracelet that are quite good. The hands from josh are not the correct size so if you are picky on those details you can use omega ones.

If you want it for the Mcqueen connection then you should consider that he never had an 1655 Explorer. He did have a 5512 Sub though.

Thanks guys. My budget would be 500-700 range. I always thought McQueen wore a 1655. How are Yuki's dials compared to Josh??

Not sure which dial is better, but as above, McQueen never had a 1655. All down to some Italian watch magazine, but it's a totally fictional connection

The dial that came in my 1655 from Josh was nothing like the dial on his website. It was terrible up close. Good thing it went into the trash anyways. If you want to spend $500 you can forget using high end replacement parts. Best bet is to get a josh 1655 and put in a better dial. Im not much into 1655's but you can look for dials from the usual suspects... yuki, NDT, ingod on ebay etc.
