thogaa Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 So little time so many watches. I might need an Expl II - just not sure wich one to get. I think Josh's latest range looks promising. Any thoughts? Stolen this pic from Josh's site: Here are the links http://www.1-pc8838.com/0rlex00089-explorer-black-a2836-p-11665.html http://www.1-pc8838.com/0rlex00091-explorer-black-a2836-p-11664.html http://www.1-pc8838.com/0rlex00090-explorer-white-a2836-p-11663.html http://www.1-pc8838.com/0rlex00088-explorer-white-a2836-p-11662.html Best T

drury Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 so are these nos noobs? or completely new cartel stuff?
thogaa Posted December 6, 2011 Author Report Posted December 6, 2011 i asked josh, and he says this can accept gen dials!!!!!! Gen dial
Star69 Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 from the pics looks decent - hands a little off , rehaut too deep - date-font too bold ... all in all okay need some RL pics
giobo Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 Some real photos would help..I think it is a fair price for what you get..It is superlumed and correct me if i am mistaken, first SL cartel Rolex in really good shape for 240$..But i would change the bracelet before receiving this..
fischyyy Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 (edited) The hand color is really difficult to get right, I wouldn't count on that any time soon. Certainly to date the best out of the box Explorer II reps. Which color do you guys think is more accurate, the white or black? It's hard to tell from the pics. The white has a side by side comparison with a gen, the black one doesn't. Does that mean they didn't have a black dial original and therefore the rep would be less accurate? fischyyy Posted December 6, 2011 Report Posted December 6, 2011 really? From the pics i would pick the white one. But then again, there is less room for error with a white dial.

Certainly to date the best out of the box Explorer II reps. No doubt. The Noob is a better case, but it requires extensive modding to be a better rep.
correctime Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 It doesn't look too bad to me. I'd definately got with the Black dial though. And I'd be curious to see a side shot pic showing the height and slope of the bezel. But I see the "Rolex" on the dial looks to be the better "4 sec." width. Many dials I've seen other than the Noob's have the "Rolex" that's much too tall and "6 secs." wide. They look decent until you set them beside a Noob or a gen.
correctime Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 Case still looks too chunky to me. I just looked at them on the site....sneed is right (of course) CG's do look a bit chunky.
ww12345 Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 Is this IHS? It looked like it, but I couldn't tell. I'm pretty sure it is not CHS...
correctime Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 It's the ICHS...the GMT hand is on the bottom...(notice the low clearance of the GMT pointer above the marker.) But it may be safe to say that if this is difficult to notice in a picture then it'd be even more difficult when one the wrist.
ww12345 Posted December 7, 2011 Report Posted December 7, 2011 That's true...except for when the hour hand was above the GMT hand. I wonder if the movement is swappable with the PT CHS movement? You would need to SL the hands, but when you got all through, you would have one nice watch (presumably).
thogaa Posted December 7, 2011 Author Report Posted December 7, 2011 Ordered a white one. I'll put up some pics in detail when it arrives

I'm curious to know if there is room for a DWO to work. You'll note that the CHS watches Angus is selling don't have Rolex date window position.
