Hi everyone! I've come across this forum in a lot of my google searches and I figured today that it was about time for me to finally join!!

Well anyway, I've been looking into buy a ulysse nardin classico rep. With that said I have a two part question...

1. should I go for it?

2. if so, who should I buy it from? I've heard the name Joshua mentioned a lot on this site. Here is the link to his listing of the watch: http://www.1-pc8838.com/uncl10002-classico-ssle-black-swiss-28242-p-9071.html

I've also noticed that watchcollecterhk has a pretty good reputation when it comes to selling reps. Here's his UN classico watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FtIYD5CBv0

Both sellers are asking for approx. the same in terms of price but I've noticed that their watches don't look exactly the same. For instance, the second hand in watchcollecter's vid is blue; in Joshua's pics it's black. Which one is better?

Thanks for your input guys... and happy holidays ;)

I don't own this watch, so I'm in no position to comment, but, based on the images, the watch they have on the trusted dealers' sites is not very accurate. I'm pretty sure there is no "Limited Edition" or this watch.

I would ask Josh straight out if he believes this watch is a good replication, that's one of the beauty's of on board dealers, they will try and help you with your purchase.

Hi guys, thanks for your comments. I have actually done some looking around and noticed that there is no gen watch that looks like the rep. However, I am okay with that as the design of the rep looks very nice. Now I am just a bit more concerned about the quality of the watch I would be buying.

I will definitely follow your suggestion, KB, and ask Josh what he thinks. Thank you for that.

That's a beautiful watch. For some reason they always seem to look better in motion on a video than the plain dealer's web photos.

That's an asian cloned swiss movement in there. It's a good piece, internally .. no mystery junk powering this one.

That's what I thought but on Josh's site it says it's an ETA 2824 movement :o

The video clearly shows an asian clone. Notice at 00:30 you can clearly see the reversing wheels only have four holes.

Josh's site photos show a true Swiss ETA.

These are two different watches.

Thanks, I did end up emailing Josh and he said that I should consider another watch because the accuracy on this one is bad. I wonder why, given it's an ETA 2824 movement. Any thoughts? Thanks again for the responses.

If I was after a dress watch I'd snap that up - looks very very nice. I'd say if you like it go for it. At the end of the day, who is going to know that there isn't a gen UN that looks like that. Most people have not even heard of the brand.
