tgchrono2
that Beige color looked like Vintage. I liked it
importr
Just thought I'd throw in a little visualisation. Excuse the clunky graphics !
hackR
excellent...the spacer ring has to be right on the edge of the bottom dw?...was looking for the distance of the gear edge and dw edge...which is a minimum of 0.33mm to fit the ring...but wondering how much space you have... i have a black and white dial arabic dial v1s that would greatly benefit...currently using 4.5 eta dw... importr
Yep the ring is to be right on the edge. That distance you refer to is no more than 0.5mm. You gonna try it then?
hackR
You gonna try it then? who me?!...i know my limits...talking this over with Bike Mike...he has machining shtuff... to make this easy and repeatable, i think you need to go the wire route...thinking if a dw has the teeth cut off and then machined smooth, you could then trim the diameter down to the size needed to wrap a wire around...that would create the right shape and size...once the wire is formed, you could then more simply tack it on to a dw with superglue... hackR
i was thinking a caseback O-ring? probably too thick though. I was able to find a o-ring and plan to attempt this...a 0.4mm by 24.5mm size...more later...

Breitluc
I'm maybe interested into modding the datewheel of my new navitimer 01. Need to source a genuine datewheel first, any tips where I can get one?
importr
A gen b01 date wheel might not be the same size as an a7750. As for getting hold of one, you'd probably have more luck winning the lottery!
hansmeier
Very interesting thread importr, thanks for sharing and bumping! I'm really amazed by your creative solution for the sunken date issue. Unfortunately this is way of my above my capabilities, but looking forward to see pics of many great modded Navis!
