theflyingdutchman Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Hi, just enjoy; The rainy Sunday FRANCK breakfast meeting... YES, FRANK is my true love... Dutchy
andcaneron Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I want the Casablanca, the one on the far right. Beautiful beast. Does it have the gold hallmark?
andcaneron Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I meant the Casa in the middle on the first photo, rose gold.

slickdick Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Nice... My Franck also wants to play
andcaneron Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Some rep watches actually have the hallmark or gold stamp, 18k or the european designation 750 which means the same as 18k.
theflyingdutchman Posted January 22, 2012 Author Report Posted January 22, 2012 Some rep watches actually have the hallmark or gold stamp, 18k or the european designation 750 which means the same as 18k. No gold hallmark... never seen this on gens or reps...
andcaneron Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 I have seen it on Rolex between the lugs and on Hublots on the back of the case. Some watches have it on the inside of the case. The Hublot BBs have gold 750 stamped on the back of the case. My next 2 watches will be a FM Casablanca and a Hublot BB.

Pics please... and reps I do not think you will find this...
Watchmeister Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Great collection. Hey Slick- Is that one of the original Eddie "13" in 18k? Archibald was the architect on that one. As I recall he had the largest collection of gen dials around. He had a close relationship with Tuomii back in the day when she was getting them left and right.
andcaneron Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Pics please... and reps I do not think you will find this... the hublot bb on andrews site shows this http://www.yourtrust...roducts_id=8344 look at the 7th photo, the watch back. you will see gold 750. on a few reps the stamp is between the lugs. some other reps have gold hallmarks too.

It is of special value to me; first buy from EL, and the most expensive rep i own. Arch is the authority on Franck reps. Wonder how he is doing btw. He did organize the group by from EL. Very good price, 1300 for 2824 and 1600 for 2892 back in 2004/5. ------ Regarding hallmarks. All jewelery with preciuos metals are required to have this hallmark with EU aswel as US. So Gen francks, rollies, whatever in gold all have hallmarks. Edited January 22, 2012 by slickdick
Jkay Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Here is the Franck-en project I'm putting together for my daughter's birthday!! One $90 Crazy Hours replica + One genuine Crazy Hours dial One handmade Stingray strap, in pink of course
Jkay Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 WSO999 sells sapphire crystals for FM watches but I have never checked to see if they fit the reps. Sometime in the future, I shall.
maxman Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Here's my Franck collection for breakfast.

andcaneron Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Does the 18kt really matter? MM No it does not matter but we are talking reps and everyone points out even more minute details, some only visible under a magnifying glass. With gold reps the hallmark is a nice touch.
vikkyrob Posted January 22, 2012 Report Posted January 22, 2012 Stunning collection. I have always fancied a nice Franck Muller but there are always so many flaws. I love my ultimate Patek Philippe Nautlius because on the wirst it is an excellent rep (clearly when you take it off the clear back gives it away instantly) but are any of these close to the gen? Great collection.
asciwhite Posted February 5, 2012 Report Posted February 5, 2012 Ah!!! You!............. I want them, but broke at the moment dammit
