My new DSSD - did not plan for this, but it is a beauty

Happy Wednesday to all wristaholics! So I aquired a DSSD, newest N-Factory with Selita swiss movement.

By coinsidence, since I planned for another item, but they were out of stock, so I landed on this one.

I must say, I like it more and more. The bracelet is not top, have asked for a replacement (see last two pictures), but the rest is very nice.

Only thing I do not like, is that Rolex have designed such a narrow bracelet on such a big lump of a watch.

21mm at Lugs, and it tapers to 18 at clasp! The watch is 43-44mm, and about 17mm thick.

Nice with long sleeves, but I do not think it look quite as good with short sleeves. Must wait until springtime, and see.

But it is quite comfortable, if you are used to heavy watches (like 47mm PAM, SFSO etc).

I especially likes the glossy ceracrome bezel with inlays and the thick, dome sapphire. The distortion at certain angles is very mesmerizing to look at (see pic). I discovered that after wiping the bracelet clean with a cloth used for cleaning lcd-screens (it is very soft, with some alcoholic solvent) made it much more sparking and shiny. It must have been quite dirty when sent from the supplier. Was grey and dull at first sight. Much better now. Brush/satin finish is very nice. Enough words.-..

Here it is, enjoy responsably, as they write on the beer-bottles :)

regarding your comment regarding the tiny bracelet for such a big watch, that is definitely the most common complaint about the DSSD -- it is topheavy and feels odd on the wrist.

one suggestion -- try putting the DSSD on a nato -- i've found it helps secure the watch and feel a lot less topheavy.
