Akira
Hi guys. I just bought a DW case and an old PN white dial...both for 7750 Has there ever been a version? Screw-down pushers, SS bezel, PN white dial with red track? I have seen gens with bakelite bezel, but never with SS. So I need to get a bakelite bezel now I guess Does this make it a 6240 PN exotic? Akira
And is there somebody outthere with a DW bakelite bezel he likes to trade or sell? Cheers Akira
freddy333
The existence of genuine, 3-color 6239 ROC (Rolex Oyster Cosmograph) dials have been debated for many years. I have seen a couple on TZ owned by credible collectors, but there are other collectors, who are just as credible, who deny they exist. But, unless you intend to wear it to a Rolex GTG or post pics on a gen site, I would not worry about it. Of course, there is no such controversy regarding the non-Oyster version, so I wear mine (mostly) worry-free
Akira
But Freddy, this one, you would say exists without question?
freddy333
I am sure Robert Maron would say they exist.

Ephry73
God I hate autofill lol. Yes I meant to write Mayer. He seems to have a small collection of vintage Rollie's.
freddy333
Somewhere in my archives, I have a pic of Mayer back stage before a concert & he is selecting which of the dozen vintage Rolexes (mostly Daytonas) in his travel case to wear on stage that night. I suspect his collection is anything but small.
Ephry73
He also has a few Comex units. On a separate note, Adam Levine seems to be a vintage Daytona fan as well. E

freddy333
I modded 1 of ingod's (added a gen crown & enhanced the patination a bit).
TgfRulez
I received from DW in November a black bezel for a 6265.. Now he's out of stock..
andygt
I wouldn't worry about it, if it still bothers you when the watch is built you could always use some Tipp-Ex on the offending text
Akira
I've checked a couple of threads, but haven't found an actual definite answer Is it possible to fit a A7750 into DW V72 case? I could get hold of a 6239 case, but for V72. Anyone ever made it happen? Cheers Akira
freddy333
I've checked a couple of threads, but haven't found an actual definite answer Is it possible to fit a A7750 into DW V72 case? This question has been answered many times. 1 of the v72s powering each of these Daytonas resides in a v72 case, the other in a 7750 case. Today, I could not tell you which is which, because the exterior of the cases are the same. With a dremel, time & patience, you can fit either movement into either DW case (the only difference between the cases is the inside contours). Akira
So since this is a 3CROC not even a 6239 would be "more" accurate, because the dial itself is not considered 100% legit. Did I get it now already? Cheers Akira

Everytime I think I'll be fine with what's in the box, you do that to me! To be clear, you replaced the crown that is on the dial? Beautiful duo, friend! Ephry73
Freddy, all I can say is AWESOME!!!!! Akira, You can always build a monster 'Tona like I am with the 7750(with complete auto winding) and a "mystery" case I received a few months back. I changed the crystal and loving the dial. Rolexaddict
As I am a boobs specialist and a reconized French [censored], I will say boobs are gen, heavy and which are falling, not really exiting, or, yes, exiting as they are gen. Boobs specialists are clear : natural falling is better than plastic arrogant shells which is vulgar, especially with blond girls. I have a serious doubt concerning people in USA who declare to own Comex stamped watches. Comex is a French company, family atmospher, like a very private club. These watches are kept by owners and passed into family and Comex employees. No offence, but Comex dials and casebacks in USA are fake, its like Rolls Royce cars, I have seen RR limousine sold in a Fort Lauderdale -FL - by a Rolls dealer garage, RR never made limousines... even for a special order, Edited February 10, 2012 by Rolexaddict
freddy333
To be clear, you replaced the crown that is on the dial? Yes. The most glaring problem with most aftermarket Daytona dials are their crowns, which are crap. For Rolexaddict -
