freddy333 Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Paul McCartney has been relatively unique within the pop star community in that he has never, to the best of my knowledge, appeared in public wearing anything but modestly priced digital watches However, in the past year (no doubt due to encouragement/direction from his 3rd wife, Nancy, a successful businesswoman), he seems to have changed his style for the better (he is still a vegetarian though) No, it is not a rep.
calatrava Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Seems like a fairly modest watch for a person of his stature. I would have gone with the Nautilus in his situation.
gran Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 I would have gone with the Nautilus in his situation. maybe even a Patek Philippe 5170
browngo1 Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Yeah, saw him wearing the same one when he got his star on Hollywood Boulevard, or wherever it is.
Adeodatus Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 He's a simple Liverpudlian boy. Always was, always will be. The Aquanaut is spot on on him.
vandal.tbh Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 I think it's a rep from joshua... 1
calatrava Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 I think it's a rep from joshua... But who's going to call him out on it?
tabularasa415 Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 Haha... That'd be right up there with the solid gold Sub they confiscated from O.J. Simpson after the civil suite. That watch turned out to be a rep. Of course, I bet he has the real one hidden sonewhere... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
wat44 Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 the fact that its on his wrist just turned the cheapest Patek into a little dearer Patek at some future auction he is obviously not that into watches, and just bought the most modest of the best brand IMO
freddy333 Posted February 22, 2012 Author Report Posted February 22, 2012 The working class hero (ie, the other Sir Patek) returned to mechanicals back when the rest of the world was still getting into quartz/digital. Lennon was always the leader/ahead of the style pack, even in horology And (like his bandmate's watch) 100% gen
DemonSlayer Posted February 22, 2012 Report Posted February 22, 2012 Nice, Freddy, thanks for the posts
