Cambered sapphire crystal, glareproofed both sides. Diameter:48.7mm. It is a 30-SECOND CHRONOGRAPH Inspired by a patent filed by the founder's son Gaston Breitling in 1926, the ingenious principle of the 30-second chronograph is distinguished by its central hand sweeping around the dial in half a minute instead of the customary 60 seconds. This original system, featured on the Bentley Motors, Bentley GMT and Bentley Mulliner Tourbillon models, ensures readings of the measured times accurate to within 1/8th of a second. Variable tachometer Most of the Breitling for Bentley chronographs are equipped with a variable tachometer, a world-exclusive feature by Breitling. When used in conjunction with the chronograph, this system enables one to measure the average speed, whatever the time elapsed, the distance covered or the speed reached. It thus features optimal operating efficiency in relation to standard tachometers which are limited to observations based on times of less than 60 seconds. The variable tachometer consists of two scales: a fixed scale with hour/minute/seconds markers in the centre and a mobile scale around the outer rim. The fixed scale is read off clockwise and the mobile disc counterclockwise. The user may for instance take advantage of the chronograph functions to measure the time a vehicle takes to cover a given distance. The distance covered (outer scale) must always be placed opposite the marker serving as the reference basis for the calculation (hours, minutes or seconds on the inner ring). To read off a result, one must ensure the decimal is correctly placed (since the figure 3.2 may represent 0.32, 3.2, 32, 320, etc.). Example: A vehicle covers 50 km (or 50 miles) in 15 minutes. What is its average speed? Solution: place the figure 5 (=50) on the mobile disc (distance covered) opposite the minutes marker on the fixed scale, and then read off the result opposite the figure 1.5 (=15) in this case 200 km/h or mph.In much the same way as a slide rule, the variable tachometer serves to perform many other operations: multiplications, divisions, rule of three calculations, hourly production rates, hourly output or consumption rates, heartbeats/minute (pulsometer), etc. Replica Price $350 Updated Version with a New Updated Dial, Complete Caseset Piece with Bezel Knurling instead of Insert MOVEMENT: Asia 7750 Valjoux Working Chronograph movement, 28800bph .Working Regulator CASE DIAMETER: 49mm THICKNESS: 16mm DIAL COLOR: White Dial, White Recess Subdials, Stick Markers CASE MATERIAL: Solid Stainless Steel 316L, Thick Rose Gold Plating 5mils BRACELET: red gold Bracelet FRONT GLASS: Sapphire crystal with Light AR coating BACK GLASS: Close case back with Detail Engraving BEZEL: Knurled Bi-directional Bezel HACK MOVEMENT: Yes CLASP TYPE: Flip Lock Bracelet DATE INDICATOR: At 4:30 position Water Resistant FULLY FUNCTIONAL Chronograph Seconds subdial at 9:00 (sweeping seconds) Pusher button at 2:00 starts/stops chronograph Pusher button at 4:00 reset chronograph Conclusions.Bezel with knurl is way inferior to genuine Dial: Major fault is the layout of subdials and their numbering Functions: the replica has an ordinary but great working Chronograph but certainly no 30s function Built: the head, case and bracelet are solid enough and the watch feels heavy and big so that’s good Quality: Being an replica, the watch I bought was well built and the movement functioned superbly with excellent timekeeping. Chronograph works like a dream. Advice: Obviously this is not a replica worth buying if you want reasonable accuracy in terms of genuine details and functions. It is not an easy watch to replicate But on the other hand it is not expensive and it is a powerful looking, solid and well made watch. So it is an excellent watch to start with if you want something big and complex looking. On its own it is a quality made and working piece and you may never meet an individual that knows what it really should look like and function (but you never know that for sure)
