Nanuq Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Total piece of junk. Utterly worthless. Junk. Please send it to me for "disposal".

Nanuq Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 You're on! I'll give you the starting handle (true) and the key and kick back with a tall cold one to watch. There's not "many" obstacles near the mountain house, but watch that first dropoff... it's a doozy.

Nanuq Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 "Garage"? You mean that hollowed-out snowbank?
Nanuq Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 its so dirty, send it to Nanuq for disposal... Dirty? That's nearly pristine! This is dirty.
specialvat Posted February 28, 2012 Author Report Posted February 28, 2012 I was telling my friend in work about your silver panels, he has a series two. His has a compression problem at min, gasket change has not solved. Thanks for the comments so far, I just wanted to stop the little voice:)
DeeKa Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Dirty? That's nearly pristine! This is dirty. You wouldn't want to see the rest of this excellent dress-watch if you think your tool-watch is kind of dirty... Dee
specialvat Posted February 28, 2012 Author Report Posted February 28, 2012 That looks like its never been off someones wrist, I like that its had its own life not in a safe
DeeKa Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 And for a gen it was a bargain to buy - with papers - as most other buyers had doubt on the genuineity... But Rolex rejected any service on it because they had to replace just everything, they stated... Cost me €700.- to get it back to shop condition Dee
Nanuq Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Good tool watches are meant to be used as .... tools. I think this tool was used to dig the Panama canal. Check out the custom crown and crown guard mods!
Nanuq Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 I was telling my friend in work about your silver panels, he has a series two. His has a compression problem at min, gasket change has not solved. Bad valve seat? Have him pop over to: http://www.series2club.info/forum/
specialvat Posted February 28, 2012 Author Report Posted February 28, 2012 I ll poke him in that direction, he has just put in new ht leads which helped improve something. Its like a chain reaction, change one thing and something else goes wrong - just like me with my watches
Nanuq Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Its like a chain reaction, change one thing and something else goes wrong - just like me with my watches ..........which is why I never, ever, ever work on my Land Rovers! *touch wood* I wonder if he's got a cracked spark plug?
freddy333 Posted February 29, 2012 Report Posted February 29, 2012 His has a compression problem at min, gasket change has not solved. Low compression generally means either worn valves/seats, head gasket or rings. Is he burning oil (bluish smoke coming out the tailpipe)?
specialvat Posted February 29, 2012 Author Report Posted February 29, 2012 He is off work this week so I ll message him, thanks for the responses guys what a great community we have.
