Outside of the aerospace industry and the automotive industry and other high end high precision industries I'm not aware of this service being available to the general public. There are a few engineering companies out there but it looks like its not the type of thing that can be accomplished for a hobbyist for a few hundred dollars.

Yes Avit (I think I've got that name right) does it here on the board. Search for DLC and you should find plenty of posts

contaced Goin (his facebook page is awesome), he set me up with DLC coatings who responded this morning

Tiyal,

This is an expensive project, having in mind the fact that you want to get it coated entirely. However, the result will be worth it every penny.

I will give you a break down so to get an idea what costs how much.

Blasting and DLC coating:

- CASE/BEZEL/CROWN - $320

- CASEBACK (IF NEEDED) - $60

- BRACELET - $320

- CLASP - $100

Labor

- Taking apart/Putting back together - $40

Shipping back to you

- Depending on where you are located

Complimentary services

- PRESSURE TESING

- ACCURACY ALIGNMENT ON A TIMOGRAPH

Let me know

DLC Finish Co.

It the direction I'd like to go, but it pushes the watch (sub or GMT) into gen cost :g:
