alifizan
I'm wondering pbdad offers a satin dial varnish as part of his dssd package, now I've read somewhere that the gen dssd dial is Matt, what to do is the question, personally I always thought a Matt dial always looked better than a bright Dinny dial but then I do want the gen look if that's what it has
jmb
You should probably be asking pbdad questions like this!
duke1973
I'm pretty sure the gen is available with both dials, matte and gloss. I prefer the matte dial because the domed crystal causes a lot of reflection as it is anyway. And yes, PB offered the matte dial refinish in my DSSD mod package. Jkay
in the past, people on this forum have posted tear-downs of Gen DSSD watches. These tear-downs reveal that some time during the second year of Rolex DSSD production, the dial finish was switched ... so either gloss or matte is "correct" .. both have been used on the genuine piece.
