kbiz
I'd work on sourcing the movements first if you haven't gotten them since a modder won't be able to find them for you...
marlin22
Justin, Be aware the movements aren't cheap! There is an Angelus 240 for sale on WC for $600.00, but it needs to be modded to work as a wristwatch. Good luck with your project.....
asciwhite
To get a good Angelus SF240 I have heard you have to shell out between $2000 - $3000. I gave up on that when I heard the price. The Rolex movements will not be much cheaper I guess..

I think you can get the Rolex movement for $2k which is more expensive than the Angleus.

I think you can get the Rolex movement for $2k which is more expensive than the Angleus. Even harder to get lucky with the Rolex 618 movement. They are pretty rare compared to the Angelus which was more of a mass production movement by comparison as well as produced over a much longer period. The Rolex 618's have been hovering around 4K if it's all original parts, in good running condition and the more common version found in pocket watches. If you chance upon one of the correct 618 versions that OP used in their WWII era watches, were talking 6K and up.
dow
A stem wound SF240 that is functioning well (especially with a healthy balance spring) for 400USD is an incredible bargain. Still you can find gold in pawn shops, flea markets and such. Not everyone know these are valuable...
