There is an Angelus 240 for sale on WC for $600.00, but it needs to be modded to work as a wristwatch. Good luck with your project..... The Rolex movements will not be much cheaper I guess.. Thats not true, I have seen them as low as $400, but you have to get lucky. I think you can get the Rolex movement for $2k which is more expensive than the Angleus. Even harder to get lucky with the Rolex 618 movement. They are pretty rare compared to the Angelus which was more of a mass production movement by comparison as well as produced over a much longer period. The Rolex 618's have been hovering around 4K if it's all original parts, in good running condition and the more common version found in pocket watches.
