APguy1 Posted May 15, 2012 Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 2 days ago i polished the side links by first using 2500 grit wet and dry paper to get blemishes out and then use paint polishing compound to bring the shine out, after 4 hours of work it looks like new but today i see little spots of rust really tiny spots tho, they wont rub off, someone please HELP!! woof* Posted May 15, 2012 Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 I can see some reps being made with less quality steel doing that. Most of the newer reps seem to be made with pretty good steel though. If I had one that did that, I'd try a cape cod cloth. There's chemicals in the cloth that treat the metal and might prevent that from happening.
