tomhorn
If you want a modded 3717, go to Vac. If you want a franken 3717 (w/ gen parts), go to Concepta or Texski.
Seventhfool
tomhorn gave me the answer, thank a lot for the help.

ogladio
Swapped parts and subjected to various treatments. In this case e.g better AR coating, new day/date wheels, brushed caseback, perhaps an eta 7750 movement etc.
Jkay
And a Franken uses genuine parts from IWC to make the piece more "perfect" .. from hands to dials, to movements .. everything and anything.
Watchmeister
if you really want a franken with more than a gen dial and hands I would suggest saving up for a second hand gen. They trade at a steep discount to new and not far from the cost of a franken. and this is coming from a guy who built one.
ogladio
+1, and when going 'genenstein'-ish, expect > 12 months lead time and mental illness
rhc22
+1, and when going 'genenstein'-ish, expect > 12 months lead time and mental illness Or do your own assembling and a full genstein is less than half the cost of cheap used and getting close to a quarter of new. Also lead time in the order of weeks!

cosmosblau
The used gens are fairly reasonable. I just priced one mint on a strap for $3800.

Also lead time in the order of weeks! I waited 6 months for iwc day/datewheels and am still awaiting tube to match a gen crown I picked up separetely. I'd be happy to switch to your source for parts within weeks! But of course, with all parts available, assembling is quick...
manuel
I have a 100% genuine parts IWC 3717. Assembled by Domenico. I'd like to let this watch go because I need funds for a mba training. Will post tomorrow a few pics..nice choice btw, the 3717 has become a true classic.
Watchmeister
On used price if you are patient they can be had for under $3k. The new ones are now 42mm.

I think it might be quicker if buying all the parts at once or maybe I just got lucky. The main parts, case set, dial, hands and movement I suspect are easier to source. I have heard that day/date wheels are harder to get individually rather than with a complete movement.

Would you please PM me the source you received? I never received a reply from Concepta and desperately looking to purchase all parts while it's still possible. Thanks and best of luck on your build!
