I'm going to get a nonchrono Spitfire soon, but I was curious which one is more accurate/reliable? The XV or XVI?

My choice : XVI, white dial.

The dial on black xv is more accurate, IMHO. But if you're after spitfire, read my review on it (in my sig ). Anyway I love the watch, accurate and more importantly - looks great on the wrist.

You're right, the dial of Spit XVI is not perfect. The guillochage on the white parts (where are the dots) is missing. I knew that point when I decided to buy this watch, but the most important for me was that I really like the design of this watch, and the way it looks. Accuracy was less important for me, because almost nobody is able to realize that it's a rep.
