milesd
I'm new to Rolex builds but I'm jumping head first. I've got a 6536 and 5513 pretty much done and really want a 1680 red sub. I think this will be a budget build with just a dial, plexi (maybe) and crown swap but keep the stock movement and hands. However a big issue for me is always date wheels. Does the Josh 1680 need a new date wheel cover? And if so, who makes them? Thanks! Edited June 3, 2012 by milesd
FxrAndy
I dont see a need to replace that one, it is just like the white one that would be fitted after a service
bwhitesox
It looks fine just over magnified due to the plexi but you're going to swap that anyway.
alligoat
When you're dealing with the Josh 1680, the datewheel overlay is the least of your challenges! What are you going to do with those stubby crown guards and that oversized crown? First order of business is to straighten up the inside edges of the cg's and find a smaller crown. After that, some aging of the case, crystal and dial/hands would be in order, IMO.
