whitestripes
Interesting PO on TZ below for $2150 -- on strap. he "misplaced" his box and papers. Honestly, with franken dial/hands/AR coating, I can't even tell real POs anymore. What do you guys think? hxxp://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg&goto=6198180&rid=68786#msg_6198180 (change xx to tt) Edited June 22, 2012 by whitestripes
txcollector
There are no tells from the pictures. It looks gen but the price is too high for a 90% (which with all those AR scratches it's more like 80%) without box and papers.
frankt
I've seen guys building "franken" reps spending @ 75% of that much!!

I agree, better deals available if really looking for one, not only because it is without box and papers, but with a bit of searching it's not difficult to find one in better condition than that, AR looks very scratched and the case itself isn't in great condition as txt pointed out. Tbh, to tell a franken from a gen, forget every 'normal' tell and examine the serial and the caseback externally. The serial is the immediate concrete tell but also nobody really buys a gen caseback (at least very rarely) ....of course having the caseback opened is a nice option but not always possible via a sale. AsiadeCuba
thats too high for a gamble. I would check the serial number and the movement. No one, not to my knowledge, has put in a gen movement. If you were to take a gamble, id do it for 1500-1700 not at 2150
sneed12
I've never seen a rep with that serial number.
