Gen dealers

I've always wondered why some dealers on VRF sell for considerably cheaper than others. Specifically, Ponycar350 tends to sell beater watches for considerably less than others His watches appear as though they have lived, rarely come with box and papers.

Still, I've been tempted more than once.

What are your thoughts?

Yeh, I bought a 16800 from Jared and it was ok- somewhat worn and I put a new crystal on it and had it serviced- doing fine now.

You just have to decide if a beater is what you want or are you willing to spent another $500-1000 for a cleaner example.

Jacek would be the next step up- just a little better quality most of the time.

Thanks for sharing as I too have been tempted to pick something up from ponycar350. His prices do indeed look good but the pieces are indeed worn looking. And since he is active on VRF, I guess his items must be definitely genuine to be an active seller on VRF.

I've noticed he puts the beater stuff on VRF and sometimes has nicer stuff on TRF.

@ Alligoat: If I decide to pull the trigger, I'll keep Jacek in mind too.

I've dealt with ponycar and he is OK. DavidSW has beautiful watches but also very expensive. I wanted to buy a Tudor Black bay he has FS and he asked 5175$ when the retail price is 3400$! and can be easily found with a good discount from AD's
