Stephane Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 Hello All, The Tribute to Polaris from JLC is probably my dream watch. As 1.The price is out of range 2. The watch is hard to find, I am hoping we would get a replication of it one day. As far as I know, this one does not exist yet :-( Any of you aware of something happening backstage? Cheers Stephane
denimhead Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 Hi Stephane I sent a few pictures of the Polaris to Angus at Puretime.co and asked the question. He did say that due to the success of the Navy Seals the factory where considering more 1-1 JLC models so fingers crossed! Cheers M
asciwhite Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 Im crossing my fingers, my toes & and all of my dogs paws for this
denimhead Posted January 2, 2013 Report Posted January 2, 2013 Or Stephane You could always buy one of these instead, Swiss 2824 swiss eta, waterproof and very well made with a bit of it's own heritage for $500.00 shipped from France. Let me know if your interested and I can give you the guys email address. The original retail price on their website is 1000.00 euros but he's selling off his stock so $500.00 is a bargain Cheers M

But it's too close to the JLC and yet not close enough I'm really in love with the JLC and of course don't care about alarm. As long as it gives time and date, I'm pretty happy

Stephane Posted January 3, 2013 Author Report Posted January 3, 2013 Oh yes, that Longines is calling me since a while! A beauty indeed but pricey (2.000$) Of course, cheaper than the Polaris @ 16.000!
FxrAndy Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 I had a longined legend, and it was nice but for a dive watch the lume was crap so i flipped it
whoever Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 The dial is great, but the weight and texture is crap from what i tried once.....too light....
Stephane Posted January 3, 2013 Author Report Posted January 3, 2013 The dial is great, but the weight and texture is crap from what i tried once.....too light.... You mean the Longines or the JLC?
Stephane Posted January 3, 2013 Author Report Posted January 3, 2013 Ah sorry, i meant the longines! Cool. It would have been very disappointing
whoever Posted January 3, 2013 Report Posted January 3, 2013 well, but i have to say, i tried two gen Omegas a couple of weeks ago, and was so surprised of the light weight of the orange PO in comparison to the manual Moonspeedy....which felt great and heavy........so i guess it's a common thing with automatics!
