Guest chronomat123
Jocke's tour of the Rolex factory from TimeZone.com In one shot Jocke shows a blind Rolex case polisher-- Crazy. ... And I have enough trouble polishing my watches even with 20/20.... I think they should use the Golden Ticket idea ala Willy Wonka. LOL.

Guest TTK
And all those people are there for one year just to make one Rolex watch....cuz that's how long it takes....!
docblackrock
Hmmm, sometimes the fantasy does not live up to the reality and looking at those photos reminds me of some post-war industrial gulag with the depressed-looking worker bees in their soulless factory sweating blood to make watches their wages can't afford (although they probably get a company Datejust after 20 years service ). Personally I'd want to believe my GMT was put together by six-foot-plus naked blonde Swiss milkmaids using platinum thread, a unicorn feather and a generous sprinkling of fairy dust - anything else quite frankly is just not good enough Incidentally I've seen pics of Tag Heuer's equivalent facility, which in contrast looks a lot more 'cosy' and more like a biochem lab than anything else. And I have a (lucky bastard) AD friend who's had a personal guided tour of Patek HQ including the watchmakers facility, he said he couldn't even begin to describe the wonders he saw there
