Nanuq Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Vintage Seamaster? The......... NorgeMaster ??
icoopernicus Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 I'm glad no one wants to crucify me for this, it's all in good fun There was a very close guess (hint: I "like" close guesses), maybe just not specific enough
icoopernicus Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 mj, getting colder, with regard to your previous post That Oyster Chronographe is beautiful - but not being added to my collection any time soon.
mjmj Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 mj, getting colder, with regard to your previous post That Oyster Chronographe is beautiful - but not being added to my collection any time soon. I 'm out of guesses
rrari1 Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 I get the feeling I am probably the closest to being right, simply because I made the most guesses. I think I was probably close with my first guess of the Graham Chrono. Then maybe the Leopard Daytona, was probably close in that there is a camouflage angle, and then the green furby watch might have been close also. If you combine those three together you get this watch.
rrari1 Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 (edited) Well iCoopernicus, Best of luck with your grenade watch. To be honest it is not really my taste, and I appreciate that you might classify it as being tasteful and understated, but it is not really my style. I guess you have to wear it and not me, so I hope you enjoy your idiotic looking grenade watch. Oh wait I just got the pun... you pulled the trigger. It is more of a pin, but now I get it. icoopernicus Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 The wait is almost over, I am still at work but the watch is at home, when I get there I will upload some pics and all will be revealed. Breitling Transocean is one of my all time favorite watches, that is an excellent guess, it's not the watch, but it's a good guess. Sit tight, if you haven't lost all interest over the past 3 days, it's almost time.
rrari1 Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 So you mean I am not right?? Is it a diving watch?
Nanuq Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 Simple, elegant, understated chronograph in the "almost" 50k price range. Gotta be a 6239/41 or the Jean Claude Killy. It's not the JCK so.........
icoopernicus Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 Oh, there must have been some miscommunication, not anywhere near 50K price range. either way, it's here and being photographed, you will all have your answer in a short while.
icoopernicus Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 A couple of teasers for you boys
icoopernicus Posted January 17, 2013 Author Report Posted January 17, 2013 ...and some more comprehensive photographs of the new watch. This watch has been on my wish list for the past two years, now it's on my wrist this is a good day! Tag Heuer Carrera CAL. 1887
mjmj Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 my guess was almost right. right brand and sub model. great looking watch. looks good on your wrist
icoopernicus Posted January 18, 2013 Author Report Posted January 18, 2013 Mj, I almost gave it to you when you said Carrera, like I said, you just about nailed it! I thought someone would guess it based on the Japanese roots
Archetypal Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 Well done iCoop, looks great and some nice photos to boot. Wear her well bud.
