Craig S
Afternoon all, Been poking around for info on replacment crystals for the 243L. Anybody got any recommendations? I do remember there were some available that were mentioned in a post a few months ago, but can't find the bloody post, lol! Cheers Craig.
txcollector
What happened to the one on the watch? What version do you have (Noob, H)? The best option would be to try one of the dealers. I find it hard to believe there's a readily available replacement for an AR treated thick crystal with a carved in cyclops.
dropbear2008
Noob and H are using different crystals which are not interchangeable. The Noob is closer to OEM. There is no other source for these crystals.
Craig S
Mines the noob. I'm sure someone had a source for replacement crystals. Not gen but better quaility, similar to clark for the rollies. I wish I could remember who posted it now.... grrr I can imagine a gen crystal would be very expensive inded. dropbear2008
How did you manage to break a 5mm saphire crystal ? Forgot the parachute ?

I highly doubt you will get a replacement of such a unique crystal with better quality than the noob. If someone claims that I would be very skeptical. Craig S
Maybe I just need mine straightened. The cyclops appears to be in place, but it is quite difficult to make out date underneath due to reflections. Right hand of the datewheel text appears to be in shadow, although the datewheel is definitely centred.
dropbear2008
Ah OK. If you see a white reflection in the cyclop under room light this will be due to the thickness of the crystal giving a reflection of the light source. The gen 243 has the same issue. Under natural light you should not see this.
