devilseam Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 Hi guys, Cant find a definitive answer to this question. Basically I have bought a noobmariner with a 21j movement inside, I have a spare A2836 and wondered if it would fit?
hiker01 Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 It should work.......MD....that's what we're doing this Friday!
devilseam Posted February 27, 2013 Author Report Posted February 27, 2013 I also have the holder, I suppose that the dial feet will need clipping and I will require new hands?
jmb Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 Movement holder may be OK, need new hands and you'll need to clip and glue the dial...
hiker01 Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 oooooo $HIT! MD....there goes the project! J-! Have you tried this?
sneed12 Posted February 27, 2013 Report Posted February 27, 2013 21j and 28xx movements are the same size. 21j and 2836 movements have the same stem height. The movement will physically fit. You will need new hands, stem, and either a new dial or clip the feet of the old dial. This question has been asked approximately a billion times and there is quite a lot of info on it if you do a search.
mymanmatt Posted March 1, 2013 Report Posted March 1, 2013 Yes you can. Be sure and use the dial ring from the 21j, it will set your stem height correctly. Be sure you donar eta has tall canon pinon, you will need it with the 21j dial ring
