icoopernicus Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 Pearl on the Planet ocean looks awful, off centre and extra low. Also, Happyfeet logo is present on the dial, this is the wrong logo for this model of Omega. Watches with an applied logo (vs. printed) should have slightly different logo. should be able to see the difference in this picture, look at the feet on the Omega logo. Carrera is a decent example of the Day Date model, there are some crooked numerals (see the 05, 50, and 35 specifically) on the dial but this is standard for these models. Standard bad Tag logo too, you won't get a good one on a rep. All in all, I say go on the Tag, but I would look for a Planet Ocean with the good logo, they're easy to find.
SSTEEL Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 Agree with previous post. Also, don't worry about the look of the bezel on the Tag, its simply covered with a protective film, which you can remove when it arrives.

He's looking to buy the least expensive A21j PO .. it has none of the modern features of the super-replica. If $120 is all this man has to spend, then dont get his hopes up. 1
martijnp Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 I agree with above posts.. Why don't you buy just one watch, put the money together and get one good rep?
vtang Posted April 8, 2013 Author Report Posted April 8, 2013 Hi all. Many thanks for your analysis. The omega is the cheaper version so happy to stick with those defects. Now time to give the green light and wait for them to arrive. Can't wait. Thanks again
icoopernicus Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 you will enjoy both watches, especially the Carrera. First rep I bought and it's still one of my favourite watches, just love it
xpletiv Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) Hey,pretty good-your 5 in the 50 is crooked too. But shouldn't this have been a 'OP,what do you see wrong if anything' followed by a link to the 'what QC is for' thread? Just sayin'. Edited April 8, 2013 by xpletiv
