As they say the modding never ends. I just finished installing a gen crown on this and noe the vintage bug has me thinking.

Should I age the insert and creme the markers and hands?

or leave it as is?

BTW this has a rep superdome from my 1665. I kinda like the way it looks. Clarks t19 was a tight fit and seemed wokkier.

Thanks Andy, I actually tried to bake the dial and hands under a halogen light and a bread toaster when I first got it. It didnt creme up and the paint started to bubble a bit. Good thing it flattened out when it cooled down.

+1. I have a '66 5512 and although the crystal (when I got it) was very scratched it was otherwise in not particularly bad shape. I love the look of bleached inserts on folks frankens but it isn't what I see in real life. What I do see are plain old scratches. :)

Its an MBK 1680 case converted to a 5513 from Reg.

Yuki insert, pearl and dial. Hand is a mix of mbk and yuki.

Gen crown.

The bracelet from josh's 5513.

Crystal is from a rep 1665 high dome.

CG's were trimmed with the base slightly recessed.
