username here Posted July 19, 2013 Report Share Posted July 19, 2013 I recently purchased a Joshua 1675 swiss movement watch, but while wearing it yesterday I noticed it had stopped. The rotor appears to have come off the watch (I haven't opened it up- assumption based on what I am hearing). 1) is this common? 2) easy fix? cc33 Posted July 19, 2013 Report Share Posted July 19, 2013 Very easy fix for a watchmaker, and believe it or not it has happened to me on a vintage gen rolex movement. If it wedges under the hair spring, it can do major damage. Be sure and loctite it when you reinstall it. Actually, it probably didn't come unscrewed if it is an ETA Clone, modded 2836-GMT. The most recent failures of this sort, that I have seen, is the rotor coming un-pressed from its bearing housing. You will need a press to fix it properly. Where are you located?
