candide2424 Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 Hello, I seem to have a problem fitting the TC DWO V3 with a gen 16610 dial. I did my best glueing the dwo onto the date wheel and notwithstanding all my effort the date alignment turns out always slightly left justified. Has anybody experienced this issue? Thanks
watcher Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 I'm having the same issue but with stock tc dial. I've refitted the dw several times and the teens dates are always left justified. I've given up now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
Erict719 Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 From tc page, he said to push on the tip on the dial to align the dwo
candide2424 Posted July 30, 2013 Author Report Posted July 30, 2013 This tip has not worked with my DWO. The tens and twenties remain left justified. I will try to refit the dial once again to make sure it is properly set on the spacer ring.
Erict719 Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 look forward to your result. Since I haven't install my v3 yet. But I have install tc dial without removing the Dwo before. And the numbers are low now... I am thinking would it be the date window ......
candide2424 Posted September 18, 2013 Author Report Posted September 18, 2013 I reverted to a TC dial that fits perfectly with the DWO.
Ephry73 Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Could be that the dial's feet are bent slightly. I always look for the stack centering as well as the date window. Which dial is it?

Thanks Regardless of whether you use a TC dw or BK dw (for example), you dates will be left justified. I believe there's a forum on RG about pairing up gen dials with rep dw's or ETA movements in general. I'm not sure if the date window position is different on gen dials vs std. ETA components but I've had the same problems with all my franken gen dial builds. Re. TC dw misalignment against TC dial - I can't answer that one...is the TC v3 dw actually suppose to have all the centered dates this time...?

quaresma7 Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 So if I use genuine dial with ETA 2824 and TC DWO, dw isn't centered?!
om3ga_guy Posted October 4, 2013 Report Posted October 4, 2013 (edited) So if I use genuine dial with ETA 2824 and TC DWO, dw isn't centered?! I might be wrong but the second you apply a gen Rolex dial to any ETA based 2824 movement your date will sit left justified. It's supposed to be very hard to center the date, don't even know if it's possible. Edited October 4, 2013 by om3ga_guy
quaresma7 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 (edited) Janeto could make the mod on his TC 16610 franken with ETA movement and genuine dial http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=211345&highlight=franken+rolex+gen+dial+eta So Yes, it's posible do it Edited October 5, 2013 by quaresma7
