SSTEEL
Not long back from the post office after collecting my first M2M watch purchase. I got it from a member next door, and as a C&R, its brand new, and still has the film on the clasp. I always shoot a video whenever I unpack anything, because you never know what you may find, a brick, swapped out for a Mickey Mouse watch, and whatnot. In this brief video unboxing, I compare the Aquaracer size against the Carrera, TC Sub, and Sub C. This is the very latest Aquaracer with the correct, arrowed G of Tag, and also improved lume. Photos will be added later highlighting this newer model key areas mentioned, and some additional eye candy as I know you love pics . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-mPJVsjINco Ok, heres the photos. I will add the loupe photo of the TAG logo later due to the time when I took these photos covered it, and I didn't want to alter the time as I'm currently checking its accuracy. Weight = 190g Lume Wristy The Aquaracer is a completely brushed stainless steel watch with brushed case set, including display case back, and bracelet too. The bracelet is an engineering marvel. It's scary how close to gen this is, with only a few tells, the most obvious being the pearl. Weighing in at 190g exactly, its a heavy watch, but not too heavy, its lighter than my Carrera for example. I have been contemplating weather to remove the cyclops or not, what do you think? There are two vertical lume strips, one either side of the date wheel, and these cannot be seen with the cyclops. The fit and finish of this rep is outstanding, and very well finished, however, after wearing a genuine Carrera bracelet watch for sometime, I have been spoilt with the finish of the gen, and the rep bracelet of this Aquaracer is noticeably sharper edged, but something which can be self-finished later. I had to remove 1 and a half links to fit my 7.5" wrist. Bezel is nice and solid, rotating clockwise with a nice, positive click each minute step. The crown screws in, and out lovely and butterly smooth, with a noticeable long tube thread. Several full turns needed to screw the crown down. The crown logo is very accurate. Date change was very positive with a nice flip over whilst turning the crown. Unsure if the Helium crown is faux or not, but I will investigate this when I come to watch proof the Aquaracer. Thats about it for now, oh, whilst I don't forget, here's a loupe photo of the correct, arrowed G of TAG on this latest model...

Deckard1979
Nice one! I went to AD last week and i was trying it on my wrist. It has very tool like feel to it. For some reason i thought it is smaller than Sub. Now watching Your comparison video is looking much bigger Great buy and if the Tag logo is fixed i might even get one! SSTEEL
Update:24 hours has past since I started monitoring the timekeeping of this Aquaracer. It has the Asian Clone movement, and its bang on, its not lost, or gained a single second in the last 24 hours. Impressed!
aa007210
Nice video you share with us. Also great kind of a review on the watch also. When you keep the watch you could remove the cyclops. When you change watches and sell them it could be a problem. I saw a thread from someone who removed it and of course you can see the date better. IMO it kills the special look of this Aquaracer Tag Heuer with the cyclops at 9. I would not remove it.
SSTEEL
Thanks, indeed, I have decided to keep the cyclops

icoopernicus
This is such a good replica that I don't think I could justify buying a Gen, great looking piece and thanks for sharing the unboxing and plethora of pics!
