importr
Yes it is definately gen. The date window is right up to the slide rule scale, and the scale itself (and the Breitling text) shines silver metallic - because the gen dial is silver plated underneath the black. On the reverse side (brass in colour) there may be a black stamped code such as M204 or similar. I see that it needs luming on the batons though
SSTEEL
Lovely dial you got yourself there my friend.
db1
Thanks for the insights mates !Good to hear your comments that verify its indeed a gen dial.I believe this dial is the non-Lume version ? (The batons are silver)I plan on a 7753 navitimer franken, this dial might help me.On the back there is no stamp, but brass colored back with some pattern of brushing and the welding (?) points of the markers. The idea is in the future acquire a 7753 and use a gen dial + 7753 in a rep navi case, any thoughts? ( I am aware of the date pusher at 8 o'clock on the 7753 but I won't need it so no hole will be drilled)
importr
The gen batons are lumed! Look at the very outward end. There is a step for a tiny lume square. You'll see this on your rep aswell
db1
Thanks for the info mate!So if that's a gen dial why have they left it without lume?
importr
Probably why it ended up on the 2nd hand market, because someone forgot to lume it ;-)
db1
It looks used (some tiny blemishes), I guess you are right - ill need to get it lumed if I plan to use it in a 7753 projectThanks for the tip mate
rionrlty
Nice catch db, it will make a great finished watch. Good luck with sourcing the 7753. I saw your WTB for the lea. strap. Did you know the TDs have them available?
