This happened to me twice with this movement and got it serviced and it ran for like two years.

It's fully wound but the spring wheel (don't know the name) close to the swan head doesn't oscilate (correct term?).

What to do?

I just ordered a tool kit coming from Offshore, so any tips on what to do?

I WON'T service it again for close to $200, since it way cheaper to buy a new one.

Thanks for taking time answering me.

Look for a loose screw blocking the gear train. Look near the escape wheel.... 9 out of 10 that is the problem when the balance suddenly stops swinging.

Thanks for your reply.

The thing is that the watch didn't die in an instant, but lost time over two days and then suddenly stopped working.

WHO THE HELL charged you 200 dollars for servicing a movement upon which a child learns watchmaking?? I would burn his damn shop to the ground.

The only rep friendly watch dude in town.

I won't use him again since he screwed up the last dial.

Thanks for the input guys.

I was hoping that it was something I could do while learning dissembling and assembling.

A new service/repair is out of the question since the watch maker screwed up the dial.

I will try learning dissembling the watch and use it for that purpose.

If it starts working it's only a bonus.
