astonjenks Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 Some of you guys know that I have played with Antique movements and re cased them, indeed two of our well known members here on the Forum have in total 3, soon to be 4 of my re cased creations. I have been working on this one for a few months and reckon that when the case is correctly made (this was version 1) it will be something of a true Antique rarity as this is a high grade, late 19th Century chronograph 1/4 repeater that looks and sound lovely. Enjoy the photos as I think if you are like me, the movement is as good looking, if not better than the face on such movements. Regards AJ
B3nj4min3 Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 Wow! Another amazing build AJ. The face is gorgeous but that movement is simply stunning! Can't wait until it's completed!
PeteM Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 Great project mate...look forward to seeing the final piece.... But why not let us hear it? Post a quick vid...if you can (or is it still with case guy?) Nicccce...
astonjenks Posted October 9, 2013 Author Report Posted October 9, 2013 Still with the case guy to complete version 2 of the case in the fashion of an IWC Portugese but bigger, he did not allow enough for the lugs on version 1, the dial is a full 50mm diameter. I might have a vid somewhere of the repeater, I certainly have of the movement working as it was totally serviced prior to commencing the build. Thanks AJ
gran Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013     I need one of these!!!!!!!!
devilseam Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 Oh goodness, thats going to be a beauty! Cant wait to see the finished piece mate.
Big Dazza Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 Wow absolutely stunning! Love these builds. If only they were around 40-42mm for me to wear
astonjenks Posted October 9, 2013 Author Report Posted October 9, 2013 Funny you should say that Big Dazza as I am nearing completion of this stunning Longines for a fellow member which has a case size of around the same as a 44mm PAM. Regards AJ
Big Dazza Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! I'd love a 42mm sized one if you ever decide to make one with a longines or omega dial
astonjenks Posted October 9, 2013 Author Report Posted October 9, 2013 My friend just say the word and we will cut a deal as I am making just a few to order and we select the movement together! Regards AJ
