redroom Posted October 22, 2013 Report Share Posted October 22, 2013 So I have a h-factory PAM 111 which I love but has recently been giving me some grief. I can't seem to set the time. When I pull out the crown it gets to the end of the crown guard but turning it just winds the watch. It just won't pull into the setting position. When I get home in going to try and remove the crown guard and see if it pull further but I was wondering if this is an easy fix with someone with no experience but has some tools. Thanks! sul Posted October 22, 2013 Report Share Posted October 22, 2013 (edited) Open caseback... where is winding stem there is one small screw what will hold stem inside. This is probably loose, press stem in(normal wearing position) tighten that screw and all will be ok. Easy fix if you are able to open watch caseback. SSTEEL Posted October 22, 2013 Report Share Posted October 22, 2013 (edited) Depending on the construction of the stem/crown, if its anything like the one I have been working on, a PAM 332L, its not like normal crowns. There is a threaded collar bonded to two very small nuts on the stem, and then this is screwed into the crown, limiting micro adjustment. There is a spring inside too to aid it undoing, but seeing as you need to screw the stem in further, you may be out of adjustment. Let us know how you get on. Let us know how you get on. yes but 111 has 6497 movement... 332 has probably 7750 or 7753 mov. Stem - crown constructions are probably different. With 111 it has to be easy. chris5264 Posted October 22, 2013 Report Share Posted October 22, 2013 I'm going to agree that if you open the back....there will be a small screw close to where the stem enters....screw it all the way in...tighten it up..doesn't have to be super tight just when you feel it stop..then try it...don't have to take off crown guard for this..just back and make sure you have small screw driver..
