raberto1
hi my name is robert i am trying to find information. i have a dogma chronograph with a valjoux 7733 movement. it was made by Arthur Dorsaz & co La Chaud de Fonds CH. Company founded 1860 who also supplied germany with watches in ww2. in my dogma the movement is a valjoux 7733 which i think was made from 1969-1978 but there was a change made to it in 1971 . there were 3 different reset hammers this one seems to be the first version before the change was made in 1971 . i have found other dogma watches but only one similiar to mine with the 7733 inside and that had a light dial rather than a black one. looking for any information for the brand dogma or Arthur Dorsaz & co thanks in advance
frankt
Not familiar with that brand, but given the obvious abuse it has suffered, and the rough finish of the case, one can assume that it wasn't a highly prized possession by it's former owner... The case shape is indicative of a mid '60's to '70's production date.... It looks like It was "ate by wolves and shat off a cliff"...To quote an old friend of mine!! PeteM
There were three companies that made Dogma watches 1 in WW2 for German forces (though this was the same as 3 but under or rather comsidered a different comapny because of its association with the Nazis etc) ....1 that was made by the Reida comapny and 3 by Arthur Dorsaz & Co The 3 sued the 2 in the fifties and they stopped making watches with that name.. What you have is from the 3rd maker ..Arthur Dorsaz they were a Swiss company There is loads of info about these watches and the maker mate...but if you are struggling searching the word Dogma...start with searching the maker Arthur Dorsaz Whether you can find specific watch info will be hit and miss mate ... Good luck
