IWC Big Pilot 5002 or 5004?

I can carry the size for sure but always find that style crown annoying on, keeps digging in .

My left wrist was smashed to heck years ago and healed in a dropped position, so it doesn't matter how big the crown is it never digs in when I bend my hand back (which I can't do much anyway)

I have a 5004, beautiful watch, especially when you pair it with a good strap. I prefer the 5004 dial, a bit more modern and smart.

The other ones posted in this thread do not have a raised frame round the date window?

 

I actually like this one better, a combination of both.

That is the 5002 window surround with 5004 numbers! There are a couple of Saint models.

Well done chaps, it differs as well from my 5004 as the datewheel is Black on White whereas mine in White on Black.

 

Either way, this is my daily beater and size wise for my 8 inch wrist it is perfect.

Very nice, all three of them. A pity the 5002 / 5004 combo doesn't have a working power reserve.

I prefer the 5004 for the cleaner dial design and slightly more modern overall look. The 5002 is certainly a more accurate homage to the old pilot watches that inspired the Big Pilot but  I still prefer the more modern interpretation of the 5004.

the5004 has the awesome matte black hands with white lume, great for legibility with that contrast.
