Very nice watchugot pannylovernr1....

I finally found the time to fit one of my Palp crowns this weekend.... to my 196. It is strange how such a small piece of metal can make such a difference. They are very well craftet, fit perfectly and you don't have to change the stem (as suggested in another post). You have to shave the CG lever a bit though.

....ooooops - sorry for invading your post here....

Thanks for the nice comments, yes smoothing the CG is next on my list. It's actually a replacement from Josh since I managed to wreck the first one;

Don't do this if the lever is loose... drill a hole in the lever and try fit a rubber tube around the lever pin (Jimmyzfu style), if you are clumsy like me :o

Just do this, put a thicker o-ring under the crown and some soft setting glue around the pin in the lever, then everything's fine :D

Oh, and the palp crown is not the sandblasted "Ti" crown from Palp, it's actually the polished Palp crown that's been brushed, repeatedly heated and cooled w/ a gas lighter to darken it (and then washed of course).
