Cartier Tank MC released on Toro

So on Toro's site is the new Cartier Tank MC. I think it looks quite good, despite the display case back. The textured dial looks good in my opinion. Maybe the CARTIER on the dial isnt as think as it is on the gen? 

 

What are your thoughts?

Looks pretty decent.  The movement is a little dodgy, though.

The new Cartier large size Tank Anglaise, the gen of which has the same movement as the Tank MC has also been released.

 

I think the Tank Anglaise is a better rep anyway, but the movement in that is a Miyota 9105, whereas the MC has an unknown movement, due to the subseconds of the MC's dial.

The medium Tank Anglaise in steel is my next purchase.  I've tried them both on in the Cartier boutique.  The large is enormous.  The medium looks a little better.

 

(Is it just me or are Cartier's supposed to be a little on the small side?)

 

The rep medium has an A2671.  The gen uses the Cartier 077 mov't, which is just a dolled-up ETA2671, so franken'ing becomes a possibility.

They have to fix the 25 on the rotor.  The movement is 27 not 25.  Classic screw-up. 

 

I'm sure the cartel will fix it.  I emailed them on it.

Nice. Is this the one with the Miyota Movement ($338) or the Asian 23J ($188) ?

Worth shelling out more the the Miyota d'ye reckon?

Nope. I've been running the Asian and just took it off after two weeks on the road. 20 seconds fast. Better than my gen PAM. Carefully compare all the details against gen. The last two shots are gen.

How's the carbouchon color ? Is it dark like the original ? That's been the problem with Cartier reps, my Santos 100 XL carbouchon color is too light , a dead giveaway when you look.

Well no clerks calked me out on it in Las Vegas when I was in three watch stores. I've got a gem tank that's 40 years old and they look the same.
