Asian 7750 Oscillating pinion?

Thanks guys,

I am amassing a nice set of assembly photos that I shall post shortly!

I obtained a swiss pinion and fitted it yesterday, but having a hard time adjusting it.

I can turn the eccentric adjuster to the recommended 2/3 tooth depth and the chrono works nicely, however when I stop the chrono the watch stops (with the second hand always at the same 10s mark) after a few minutes.

If I adjust the adjuster to give me a smooth running watch the chrono does not run.  I have gone back and forth on this many times.

I have a good amplitude on the balance and without the oscillating pinion installed the watch is running beautifully.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Phil

Ok - got it working better.

It is now keeping good time although sometimes the watch just stops running and needs a jolt to get it going again. It always stops with the second hand pointing at "10 seconds".

This happens about once every 36 hours. The actual hands are free and not obstructed. Any troubleshooting tips would be most welcome?

Thank you

Phil
