jpz5142
Guys need your help, I'm not an omega expert so I wanted to make sure it's gen. I'm looking at this gen at a reasonable price ($3,500 with bracelet + gen croc + gen deployment) but wanted to make sure I got the opinion of the community before pulling the trigger. AsiadeCuba
3500 can get you one of the new 8500 pro's for that price. I'd pass you're going to pay too much for that piece
esco
Agreed -- price is a bit steep, you should be looking at sub $3.5K. Below $3K is what should trigger your interest. If it were me, I wouldn't pull the trigger unless it was somewhere around $2500-2800.
cjeffers58
I got a gen 45mm pumpkin I'll let go for 2500.
jpz5142
Thanks - guess I'm not so good at finding such good prices. Would it change anyone's opinion to know it is new/unworn? And where does one find good condition 8500s for $3500?

Crispy3M
Thanks - guess I'm not so good at finding such good prices. Would it change anyone's opinion to know it is new/unworn? And where does one find good condition 8500s for $3500? If it's new and unworn then it should have all three cards with matching serial numbers. If it still has all factory warranty left, then it's a good deal in my opinion. Especially if it's the 2500D. I just picked up a two month old Gen 2201.50.00 with the 2500D movement. With shipping etc, I'm into the watch for about $3650.00 and I'm very pleased with that. There are lots available in the $2700 range but they are years older and have no warranty remaining. Everyone has their own opinion though
jpz5142
Thanks to all for the input. I found a watch at what I'd consider a fair price, $2,800 for a watch with papers, box and all three cards with matching numbers. It is in excellent condition with all links and little to no scratches. I'm not much for warranties as I would not want to send the watch to the repair center to not see it back for many months, would rather use a local watch guy! Wrist shot to follow when it arrives! justudor
I haven't seen a 8500 drop past 3800USD. 42mm PO 2500 start from at best 2600-3400 I've seen, of varying conditions and included items.
johnnyboy_k
Agree with the above comment. I bought a 6 month old 2500D full kit ( box, manual, 3 cards) on a bracelet for just under 3000 and i've been looking for a while.

Where have you seen that? I haven't been able to find a 8500 for anything less than 4200. If I can find a 42mm 8500 for 3500 I'd buy it right now!
